Thanks John for these GREAT instructions for the openSPOT! I've never had DMR until 4K Transcoding came online. I ordered a TYT MD-380 to use with my openSPOT and used these instructions to make it work.
These command channels I have programmed to be Private Call. Status TG 5000 (TG 9 in Rx Group)...I have not heard any response from the radio with this command in XLX313 Master but it does respond from BrandMeister 3101 Master. Connect TG 4001 (TG 9 in Rx Group)...Connect TG 4006 (TG 9 in Rx Group) IP Address TG 9001 (TG 9 in Rx Group)...Radio will read back the openSPOT IP Address. Very cool!
These Commands I have programmed as Group Call. Disconnect TG 4000 (TG 9 in Rx Group) Talk TG 9
Through trial and error it seemed that these settings worked the best.
Thanks again John and the Kings of Digital Team for bringing 4K Transcoding to the Constellation!

From the Shoutbox
kg5tnk: When using the OpenSpot with DMR, if you want to hear the connection announcements you need TG 9998 in your Digital Contatcs/TG list and added to your rx group. This may be a question asked but misunderstood in last night's roundtable. Not just TG9.
