I have a codeplug for the MD-2017 to be used in conjunction with SharkRF OpenSpot. If you are like me, beginning to get into digital modes, in this instance DMR, and are having a hard time figuring things out as I did, this can help. This is for the TYT MD-2017 ONLY! It has only a few channels set for use with the OpenSpot. I first opened the CPS 2017 software and thought "Ummmm...where do I begin?". Someone finally sent me their codeplug. It was for regular repeater use, but it helped me figure out what "Digital Contact", "Zone", "RX Group", and "Channel" meant. Along with the relationships between them. This codeplug is designed for use with the OpenSpot, but can me informational for those without one. Simply having an example can sometimes help you figure things out much easier. It includes ALL of the Brandmeister TalkGroups (Digital Contacts in CPS 2017) as of the date of this posting, and the OpenSpot default commands. If you have a MD-2017 and already know how to program it, you can open this Codeplug, export the Digital Contacts list, and import it into your own codeplug if you like. I am assuming that you are already using your OpenSpot on D-STAR, and are familiar enough with it to switch to DMR. That's the easy part. There's a bit more than just that for the Constellation, but that is covered elsewhere in the forum. The codeplug is here OpenSpotMD2017.rdt (832.55 KB)
