N6HKH: The Thursday D-STAR Round Table coming up. I can't wait! Never enough D-STAR.
KF4UCE: Has anyone gone over to REF012 to make an announcement that the net has moved this week or would that be making the situation with PAPA worse?
W5LND: Thank you, I found it!
KK6MYS: XRF002 broadcastify feed is over modulated.
W6KD: Reflector tutorial at: w6kd.boards.net/thread/80/reflection-on-reflectors-guide-dstar
K6KD: One dashboard xlx313.xrefl.net
w5lnd: This is great to be on an XRF, but what was the reason to move away from REF012?
N6HKH: Great question. We discussed that earlier. Too lengthy for response here. But we'll cover it again tonight after we get through some other topics.
W6KD: The DStar Commander hostfiles are available to everyone: dschost1.w6kd.com/DExtra_Hosts.txt
w5lnd: AJ3X sounds pretty bad
N6HKH: Hopefully he'll key up again.
K6KD: Suggested discussion topics was previously on xrefl.net now in this thread: d-star-roundtable.boards.net/thread/159/suggested-discussion-topics
w5lnd: That is a great idea for the crossband repeat radio for a higher powered hot spot.
K6KD: Thanks w5lnd. And the radio does not have to be D-STAR capable. It's just passing a GMSK modulated FM signal.
W6KD: Although some x-band repeat capable non-DStar radios can distort the waveform enough to cause problems. The dual band DStar rigs (IC-2820, ID-5100) all are reported to work well
w5lnd: Just like W6OSO said, Mike you do run a great net. Great start on the new XRF Reflector.
ai6kj: Several roundtables ago I asked about cases for a RasPi Hotspot. I now have the case from Hardened Power Systems which was criticized for it's price, $99. I can report that it includes many items that justify its price. I recommend it.
W6KD: ai6kj--that'd be a good topic to bring up at a future date with the specific things you liked
N6HKH: Sorry that we could not revisit the reasons for the move from REF to XRF. Although discussed earlier in the net, I will explain it again next Thursday. Connect here again, please.
