G4KLX: With a non Icom homebrew repeater, it's possible to transmit to it when it's busy relaying network traffic and issue link/unlink commands. These may be DTMF or in the UR field as usual.
KF4UCE: openSpot by SharkRF is available to order for those who put their name on the waitlist. Problem is that after looking at the user manual online, only DCS connections are supported at the moment. I have an inquiry out at their forum asking about REF & XREF
KF4UCE: Seems to be very heavy focused on DMR. Lots of interesting diagnostic capabilities and some much needed menu adjustments that other products don't make available or easy to access. 182.50 euros which is roughly 200.80 USD
G4KLX: The MMDVM works well with the DR-1X, and it makes an excellent D-Star and DMR repeater. The DV-RPTR range also work with it I believe.
K6KD: I have a tool available to test. In beta xrefl.boards.net/thread/29/hot-spot-programmer-beta Works with RT Systems radio programming software to provide automation in defining hot spot and D-STAR Commander commands.
K6KD: Initial focus is for those who are already experienced with RT Systems software to give it a try.
n9ko: The full WinDV / DV Node for Windows program can be used on a computer using the Ubuntu Linux operating system. The Ubuntu operating system is a great way to use an older computer.
n9ko: If you are interested in this, check out the details of installing WinDV / DV Node for Windows on a Linux computer located in D-Star Round Table Forum thread named "Use WinDV / DV Node for Windows on a Linux computer"
