K6KD: Kenwood User manual on UK site: Covers both A and E models kenwoodcommunications.co.uk/amateur-radio/vhf-uhf/handhelds/TH-D74E/?view=support Keypad is DTMF enabled. Does not explicitly say DTMF enabled in D-STAR mode.
K6KD: Software for TH-D74A/E www.kenwood.com/i/products/info/amateur/mcpd74_e.html Connect with micro-USB cable or bluetooth. Includes link to download software.
K6KD: Mark (HRO Atlanta) tested and verified DTMF does work in D-STAR Mode. I subsequently verified it does work as expected with D-STAR Commander/G4KLX on Raspberry Pis.
K6KD: Don Arnold has produced several videos on the TH-D74. On www.youtube.com search for w6gps
w6oso: I have been told by HRO Anaheim that they have received the first shipment of the Kenwood TH-D74 radios and are now filling orders.
AA0RX: The Audio is a little funky this eve
N6HKH: Will keep a close ear. Sounds normal so far on this end.
W6KD: @aa0rx--Gary, I see multiple timeouts and reconnects for you on XRF002A...my guess is there's an internet problem somewhere between you and the reflector
k6fed: www.k6jm.com/hs-setup.htm. GMSK modem configuration
K6KD: TH-D74 Modes TX: F3E, F2D, F1D, F7W RX: F3E, F2D, F1D, F7W, J3E, A3E, A1A Mode decoder en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Types_of_radio_emissions
nr5g: When wanting to watch activity on Dplus I go to Dplus Usage Monitor. Where do I go to monitor who are transmitting on xreflectors particularly while listening to the Thursday Night DSTAR Roundtable on xrf002a
N6HKH: Broadcastify is up & running right now. No notices of audio loss thus far.
K7REX-Dan: For me, I would be happy to be able to use D-STAR through a satellite Internet connection.... 2
