G4KLX: The DExtra reflector list on OpenDV was lifted from xrefl.net a few months ago. It is not definitive.
K6KD: Heard that some developers such as OpenSpot are using host file source xlxapi.rlx.lu/api.php?do=GetReflectorHostname If this is their only source and not modified, will not be able to reach many non-XLX X-Reflectors
K6KD: Illustrates a problem when an XLX reflector is automatically assumed to be the rightful reflector for REF, DCS, and XRF prefixes.
G4KLX: Please note that DCS005 has moved to XLX. It is now at ircddb.org.uk, please update host files accordingly. Thanks.
K6KD: DCS005 moving to XLX is a good example why it can't be assumed the XLX can claim all 3 prefixes. There is already XRF005. Any host file with automatic all prefix entries for XLX will not enable connections to XRF005.
KD8WRL: K6KD - What is a good source for where to find host files for MMDVM Host RPi 3 images that are equipped for DSTAR, DMR and C4FM? I've had issues with DSTAR that I believe are related to missing host files. Also instructions for how to get them on there.
K6KD: KD8WRL - sorry not familiar with MMDVM - maybe someone else can jump in
N6HKH: MMDVM Yahoo Group files. Search in Yahoo Groups for "MMDVM." You'll have to join to see the files folders, but approvals come quickly (usually).
ZL2TWS: UDRC-II Pi3 high power Hotspots to take a look at. VNC access, PA7LIM smartphone access with Autostart DStarRepeater, ircDDBGateway + Dashboard. zl2nsa.ddns.net:82 and zl2twt.ddns.net:82. ZL2NSA running on an FT-8800 and ZL2TWT on an IC-2820
ZL2TWS: Check out the D-Star newsletter for useful information at zl2vh.org.nz/d-star/newsletter/2016/ The newsletter is published each month around the 20th of the month from Branch 63 NZART. New Zealand is primarily D-Star as there is no Yaesu support.
nr5g: Concerning OPENSPOT: Do you have to have a DMR radio to get any good out of it or is it also "user friendly" with the Icom and Kenwood line of radios?
