K7REX-Dan: FINALLY !!! Using an OpenSpot hotspot I can now use D-STAR through a Satellite Internet service (Hughes). DV4mini hears okay, but garbage output. DVMEGA and DVAP won't work... Maybe I can check into the net now.
N6HKH: Dan: We look forward to your presence on Thursday's net.
K7REX-Dan: I'll be heading back up to the Cabin Thursday just so I can check in using the openSPOT on the satellite system. I may be late checking in, but I plan to be there.
wb5eku: Dan, good that you have your problem solved. Any thoughts on how the openSPOT handles the satellite internet differently than the other systems? Interesting topic for the round table.
K6KD: openSPOT Network Settings has this parameter that I think helps: Dejitter queue length (ms)
KB3HNO: Happen to be listening to this reflector on openspot, glad to listen to the net!
wb5eku: KB3HNO, Welcome to the Round Table. Join us every Thursday evenings 7pm Pacific Time (Daylight or Standard).
wb5eku: Pacific Con October 20 through 22 in San Ramon, CA Website: pacificon.org/
wb5eku: PA7LIM BlueDV AMBE3000 beta software link; www.pa7lim.nl/bluedv-windows-ambe/
w6oso: I have some information regarding Pi Star and the new ZUM board that is now being released.
W6KD: I'm assuming that what we're calling a "ZUM-board" is actually the ZUMSpot RPi hotspot board described at mmdvm.blogspot.com
KK6MYS: you are talking about the ZUMSPOT RPi mmdvm.blogspot.com
KK6MYS: The MMDVM board is sometimes refer to as the ZUM board
