VK4TUX_Adrian: John, Just regarding callinghome.php in webroot; Dashboard folder files contents can be moved to webroot without deleting this file if you use correct procedure , i.e cp -r instead of mv. So that is not an issue here, and the webroot/php user is the same.
VK4TUX_Adrian: So no issue here with that method, there are many possible options of course, as well as running low cpu usage ver ambed as part of the xlxd service.
K6KD: Adrian - No issue. I know there are many ways of avoiding wiping out the callinghome.php. To me creating a directory /callhome is simple and foolproof.
kg5tnk: Just posted a thread in "Radio Programmin Files..." per the roundtable last night. It's a codeplug for the TYT MD-2017 for use with the OpenSpot, or to learn how to program a channel, or to get the Brandmeister "Digital Contacts" list for CPS2017 software
wb5eku: Interesting offering from Kenwood. comms.kenwood.com/special/nx_5000/
W5DKD: Needing to find how to connect to XLX313 through a dv4mini. This is what I use for DMR.
K6KD: kg5tnk - excellent addition. Hope your thread is the start of many others.
n7tae: There is a new feature on QuadNet, STARnet Group tracking. See it at openquad.net/node/8. This page tracks STARnet Groups as well as STARnet Group users.
N6HKH: PacifiCon 2017 www.pacificon.org
N8ALN in Cincinnati Ohio: Fairly new to D-Star; bought an ID-5100A at HamVention. Also using Macbook Pro with ThumbDV. Running Windows 10 under Bootcamp. Using BlueDV software. Don't see anywhere to set my name so it will be sent when I keyup like I can with the Icom. ?
VE5XEF: The software for thr DV4Mini control panel has a serious flaw, the XREF.IP text file as of version 177, appears to be the exact same as the first versions, totally ignoring reflector ip address changes. Which may be the reason so few DV4Mini's are heard.
