N9KO: To person with question about ThumbDV and BlueDV for Windows. It works. Just linked to XLX313 4001. No one around to talk with though. Download the latest version and the related ambe manual on pa7lim's website.
ke0lmx: I have heard people who seemed concerned about having a long QSO on the Constellation for fear of interrupting other traffic. If you are following standard protocol, leaving breaks between key ups to listen for breaking stations, is there an issue?

wg0f: www.ve3rmi.org then go to documents then go to dstar files
k6jm: Regarding DV Dongle (with AMBE2020) sound quality being different from ThumbDV (with AMBE3000), there should be no difference, or ThumbDV should be better. But software can make a difference, and it's all personal preference anyway.
k6jm: I get really good reports on sound quality when using the ThumbDV with BlueDV-AMBE, both on Windows and Android. But again, what sounds good to one person may not sound good to the next.
wg0f: OK, thanks to k6jm, you are correct, I haven't had enough testing of the various software that works with each dongle. I will do more experimenting. wg0f
n6xdx: RE: Other nets on the constellation. Sorry, wasn't able to comment when this was brought up. On the Trucker's Traveler's RV'ers net, we try to cover topics of interest to people on the road. Next weeks topic: Roadside Attractions. de N6XDX alt net control
k6jm: I agree with Bob W6KD -- given ZUMspot availability issues, if you can't wait, go for a DVMega with a Pi. Works great and works on multiple DV modes. We are fortunate to have more than one quality solution out there....
