ke0lmx: This looks like quite the receiver, all digital modes: www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-014166
N9KO: New Zumspot / HRO news: www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-015993
ke0lmx: I now own a ZUMspot!
KE0AYJ: Mike, I found the email. The tropical downpour is here now.
N6HKH: Andy - OK, Thanks.
n5wd: For folks who want to do a bit of hardware hacking with the Raspberry Pi, there's a relatively new magazine called HACKSpace. It's available by subscription, OR you can download the .pdf copy of the full magazine FOR FREE! Go to: hsmag.cc to access the
n5wd: magazine. There have been 5 issues released so far, each has something oretty neat and amateur radio related in it. It's put out by the same folks ( The Raspberry Pi Foundation) that put out MAGPi, another monthly magzine about the Pi that is available
n5wd: FREE to download the .pdf version of the monthly mag.
n5wd: my battery just cratered, so I may not answer if some calls me on the net - will be up ASAP. De N5WD (Wayne in Ponder TX)
k6jm: Regarding Mike's topic of ARRL continuing to highlight HF, with fewer mentions of DV like D-Star, even as we enter the absolute bottom of the sunspot cycle, as a contrarian, I'll say HF allows communication without much infrastructure. Still love D-Star.
k6jm: KE0LMX - Congratulations on your ZUMspot. Is it not the cat's meow?
k6jm: An alternate browser that I've found does a nice job of protecting privacy as well as questionable websites, I use the Tor browser. www.torproject.org/ with the DuckDuckGo search engine.
