N6HKH: Don't be shy. We're here. Welcome. 2 hours ago x
VE7LEE: Can anybody see this? 2 hours ago x
VE7LEE: Okay, I see how this works. 2 hours ago x
W6KD: To delete your WinDV settings from the registry, run regedit and find the hive located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microwalt Corporation\WinDV and delete the entire hive--WinDV and all of its subkeys. 2 hours ago x
K6TDM Terry: Terry is in da house shack! 2 hours ago x
W6KD: Caution: if you aren't familiar with editing your registry, get someone who is to help...a misstep with the registry can really screw up your Windows installation. 2 hours ago x
W6KD: The FTDI serial drivers are located at www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm 2 hours ago * x
KK6MYS: he is looking for a fork of DSD that is now able to use the vocoder in the thumbDV and the likes. about an hour ago x
KK6MYS: DSD was originally software decoder for AMBI. There are various forks of DSD about an hour ago x
KK6MYS: He can search Radio Reference forums. They talk about it all the time about an hour ago x
KK6MYS: found the guy that says he got it to work with several modes about an hour ago x
KK6MYS: here is the thread from yahoo groups about an hour ago x
KK6MYS: groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/UniversalDigitalRadio/conversations/topics/741 about an hour ago * x

ZL2TWS D: www.rtl-sdr.com/dsd-version-1-5-released/ and DVD1.7 wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Digital_Speech_Decoder_software_package or compile your own from this site. www.george-smart.co.uk/wiki/Digital_Speech_D about an hour ago * x
KD4IBD: I spent the extra $$$ on the DV3K because I was under the impression that Robin was working on an android app to run it on phones/tablets. Waiting for that option... about an hour ago x
KB7SQI: Only listening to the broadcast tonight while working, but I think the main 2 differences between the ThumbDV & the DV3K dongle is the DV3K shows the "proper serial #" in his DVTool-2.1 & the DV3K supports the higher baud rate like the Star*DV does. about an hour ago x
KB7SQI: Which is 2x faster than the ThumbDV. Like I said last week, if you take a ThumbDV try to use DVTool-2.1, it initializes it, but as soon as DVTool starts to check the serial #, it fails. I bet if you got around that, it'll work. :-) about an hour ago x
KB7SQI: Being able to use the dongle w/ an Android device is the only reason it'd buy the DV3K, until we get an app that works w/ the ThumbDV, Star*DV, etc. about an hour ago x
KB7SQI: Besides the ThumbDV for size, I think the Star*DV gives you the best bang for your $$$. :-) about an hour ago x
KB7SQI: 73 de KB7SQI...back to work & listening. 59 minutes ago x
KB7SQI: Saw this on the AES site, also about the DV3K. "Note: Unlike the original DV Dongle, this unit will not decode bit error rate." 57 minutes ago x
KB7SQI: Mike, just for the record, I have the ThumbDV, Star*DV, & the original DV-Dongle. I will buy DV3K also. They all support D-Star & that's what it all comes down to. :-) 46 minutes ago x
VE7LEE: VA3UV.com software is called freestar.us 22 minutes ago x
VE7LEE: The all in one would be a good software project for the rpi 21 minutes ago x
VE7LEE: Also you need to have an IRC DDB account with proof of a repeater call sign 18 minutes ago x
N6HKH: KB7SQI - points well taken. 17 minutes ago x
